I have to admit I had no idea how to pronounce a lot of the words we encountered here but the guides were great and really made sure they educated us on the correct pronunciation. The tiny house came with almost everything — countertops, a fridge, and a microwave. The only things we had to get done were plumbing and electrical. So we added RV hookups to the back of our lot, behind our house, and hooked up the tiny home. We also skirted the tiny house, to cover the cinder blocks and wheels. All of these extras cost us about $10,000 more which we took from our savings.

We love immersing ourselves in the heritage of the cultures we visit and find it is always such an eye opening experience. The past is always tainted with the actions of those who choose to discriminate, it was wonderful to see such a positive end to the journey of Mataatua. Over the course of the next century the house was erected inside out exposing the delicate spiritual carvings to the elements on more than one occasion.
